IRC Products and Technologies
IRC boasts the industry’s widest range of resistive devices designed for surface mount applications. Along with Welwyn Electronics, our sister company in the UK, IRC’s comprehensive line of SMT products includes cylindrical Metal Glaze® resistors, commercial and precision flat chips with ultra-high and ultra-low resistance values, and custom wirewounds.
IRC also provides high reliability and precision resistors for today’s most demanding military applications. Our high-reliability cylindrical resistors are approved to MIL-R-55342 under DESC drawings 85083 and 87037. Our precision flat chip resistors are approved to MIL-R-55342, and our precision TaNFilm® networks are approved to MIL-R-83401.
IRC is in a class by itself when it comes to resistor networks. Our patented TaNFilm® manufacturing process is challenging many of today’s applications that have long relied on nichrome technology. In addition, IRC manufactures state-of-the-art precision molded and conformally coated resistor networks which meet the most demanding applications specifications. Rounding out this product line are general purpose commercial thick film molded and conformally coated packages.
Our solutions portfolio contains the industry’s most diversified line of high voltage resistors. IRC offers commercial thick film and precision high-voltage devices, bleeder-dividers and ultra-high resistance value devices, and the right solution to meet virtually any specified high voltage requirement. All high voltage resistors are manufactured using IRC’s proprietary non-noble thick film technology, including our military devices.
IRC is a leader in wirewound process technology and production. Our power wirewound product range includes fail-safe and flame-proof devices, vitreous enamel, silicone encapsulated devices, resistors with custom TCRs and pulse and surge protectors. Our wirewound product line includes UL-approved fusing resistors for your application-specific circuit requirements. This versatile product mix includes our diversified line of MIL-approved precision wirewound resistors.
Because we target the tough applications, IRC is called upon to deliver special purpose components for custom applications.
